I used to have guitar hero 1. Loved to play bark at the moon, sharp dressed man, and crossroads. Ah, sadly I gave it to somebody. That's ok though, for some reason when I play the guitar hero games for a song or two and look away, whatever I look, looks like it's moving. That doesn't happen when I play Rock Band 2 though for some reason.

I'm not sure if you understand the mechanics of GH1 compared to GH3. GH1's hammer-ons and pull-offs are unreliable. The fingering for them is unintuitive, and is unlike the rest of the series. To counter this, most players strum most (if not every) note. f4phantom, in this run, used some hammer-ons unintentionally because of the precise strumming that would be needed for this FC. In GH3, the hammer-ons are like the rest of the series - except for one difference. The timing window's giant/easy.

actually, i didn't strum every note. i inadvertently used some of the hopos. they do work, you just have to be really precise. on some of the sections in this song if i tried to strum every note i'd inadvertently overstrum, so i just strummed a little less. still strummed most of the notes though. it's easier to strum all the notes when the section doesn't speed up and slow down lol.

this is the thing that boggles my mind. this is GH1, I had gh1(but i lost it), but as far as I remember, that HO/POs don't work for crap. So it's really hard for me to comprehend how a song like this can be FCd in GH1, having to strum every single note. Good job!! I would never be able to do this with gh1's timing window and broken HO/POs.

Basically, if you try and use the hammer-ons, you have to be holding down the note that you're hammering from or the note that you're pulling off to (similar to how it is on guitar). On top of that, when you're actually trying to use the HOPOs, the timing window is a lot smaller. Because of this, it is simply easier to strum everything.

the timing window to hit each note is incredibly small with hopos. It is so small, that you need to have perfect timing to hit one. Also, be careful oApEo. Youtube has been taking down vids like this ferociously. They even took down JLc and Guitarherophenom's coop HooT fc vids.
