And the stock drop was not a reaction to Obama, but to the news that 200,000 jobs were lost in October, and it is expected that many more will be cut through the rest of the year. Most people on wall street aren't too worried about Obama or Mccain.

I'm a novice investor but everyone talks about triangles, crossovers, oscilators, etc. but by looking at the charts its the BARS that give the best accuracy. The moment the bar reverses direction buy or sell. The crossovers come too late. To me the zero line is better but still to late?

Chris/friends: The dissertation regarding the MACD is very descriptive, indicating its purpose, usages, calculations, etc. The usage and understanding of such should be second nature to the trader. It is refered to as a lagging indicator, due to its hesitation in its engendering the trend. One can maybe trade the beginnings of a trend, then have it confirmed by the initial MACD 2 lined crossover; hence, confirming the trend: but, do not forsake the needed stops and precautions. Markofibo: Good video: I believe that the MACD 2 lined indicator as well as the EMA may be better than you think: The chart at video time as of 5:00 mins. shows that the MER stock is downtrending and if one were to trade short in the downward direction, the EMA crossovers and the MACD crossover signals would be in much better alignment and neither would be lagging. It is the contrarian element that would cause the EMA crossovers to lag. What do you think? Please respond. Thank you.

Also need to place a value on the capital RISK involved in buying. That capital risk does not exist with renting. If house price declines and owner defaults/walks away, their downpayment is lost AND their credit rating is impacted. But on a sidenote - I would not have the job that I have now if I was tied down with a mortgage, etc. I would not have even had the nerve to consider risking that move. And the new job, that I was able to take, boosted my income by 50 to 70% within the first year. It's a bit scary to think that I'd likely be broke or bankrupt (tied to a mortgage) making half what I am now - if I bought a home 5 years ago.

This is important to me since I like my freedom and flexibility in moving. And I noticed that you even left this valuation out of your in-depth model. You have a good presentation of MACD. I've used it for years as a qualifier for price patterns. However, using it as a trading system can be a bit hazardous to your wealth. When a trend is in place it's great. When prices move sideways, OUCH. Good trading RT..

he is right that tiger does not hit it straight all the time. and if you watch him play, when he's not on, or in a major, he usually hits a low cut driver or a 3 wood, he doesn't give these all out swings unless he's on. He doesn't hit as many fairways as some precision players, but his iron and fairway wood abilities are incomparable to anyone in history.

What the story fails to explain, is how it detects a locking wheel. In a car this is relatively easy, because usually, one wheels will lock first, and this will be detected as locking because one wheel is slower than the other 3. But with 2 wheels, this is not so easy. How do they do that?

When you apply the rear brake only, the 'brake-by-wire' system will start working. If it senses the rear wheel is going to lock it activates the front brake as well. So, stamp on the rear brake pedal, the front brakes go on as well, and the front forks dive. This system is only operated in an emergency, the rest of the time, the brakes work just like normal ones, so you still have feel and control.

Absolutely. He may have had very different motives to the ones I put forth. Being that he went out of his way to avoid explaining his motives it becomes a case of comparing his films and their detailed themes plus any other info that can be gathered about how he lived. I don't think it really makes much sense that he would devote his cinematic skills to just toying with us for the hell of it, although I'd agree some film makers do that - Hitchcock I think was that way inclined.

All of Kubrick's later films used complex subliminals. The belief that the script was being written on a day to day basis comes from the "making of" documentary, which Kubrick used to spread false rumours about his working methods. He was a very secretive guy and a cunning manipulator of his public image. i really dont think kubrick was trying to do anything subliminal with this movie ive heard this mentioned before however. but keep in mind that he was writing the script on a day to day basis as they were doing the film, this pissed stephen king off as the film is far different to the novel and way better in my opinion

The music in the maze chase has periods of minimal instrumentation in which we can hear very light percussion (sounds like stick's knocking together) - it's similar to the light clunky noises of Danny's tricycle when riding on carpets. Alternately the music comes with bursts of bass-heavy string instruments - like the sound of Danny's tricycle riding on floorboards. They're not identical of course - one is music and one is sound effects - but they have uncanny similariites.

Over-stated in what way? I don't think reincarantion is part of the hidden narrative of the film, which i'll be explaining in the later chapters of the expanded analysis. The stuff between Jack and Danny in the fatherly love scene will also be explored in more detail in the remaining chapters.

I think you over-state the case that Danny's shining is just his unconscious childhood anxiety...isn't it more like his visions of his (and Jack's) past and future lives? Halloran also says he can "shine" cause he talked to his dead grandmother before. I also liked your comparison of the 237 scene and the fatherly love one, but I think it has more to do with Jack's dream fantasy of love with a sexy woman and Danny's dream of being loved by his father?
