    • ]]>     FOR THE FIRST TIME, WE ALL AGREED ON SOMETHING. Trying to kill the boredom of doing nothing, we decided to go on a sudden trekking expedition. My folks are just to happy to see me, and the rest of us, out of their way, for a change. Packing my things quickly, I immediately set out to unite with my friends, but not after grabbing our 4 person tent. Woudn’t leave without it. We then converge at the nearest store in our village. While waiting for each other, we bought additional food and stocks. Then the four of us are on our way.

    We are not alone on the idea. Plenty of campers are walking alongside us. In a way it was stimulating to see lots of teenagers sharing the same passion. We are enjoying the hike. Even though we have covered a lot of miles already, we hardly felt it. We reached a clearing near the stream. We found the place engaging so we decided to rest for a while. Most of the hikers are teenagers like us. There is a sprinkling of adult and middle-aged groups. It’s like a carnival out here. Everybody is enjoying themselves. People are talking to each other, joking and making friends. You would like to think we’ve known each other for so long.

    The night is already approaching so we decided to pitch camp here. It took us just a few minutes to set up the 4 person tent. Wow, it’s been years already since we’ve last used it and still it look good-as-new. Without any warning, since it’s cold already, it begun to rain. A slight drizzle at first that soon develop into a full-blown rain. It’s time to go inside our 4 person tent. When I was small, I used to remember how big the tent is and now I wonder if I would still feel the same. Surprise! Even at our size, it was still very roomy, especially for 4 grown-up adults like us. We can stand up without having to stoop inside. Mind you, I stand close to six feet and two inches in height. After all these years, it’s fabric is still durable to hold up to the rain. The rain was fairly strong but still, you can hardly feel it inside.

    On the fourth day of our hike, we decided we’ve reached our limit. We have reached the top of the mountain. It was cold here – very cold. Imagine, it’s almost noon and yet the leaves and the flowers are still wet. Cold outside – warm inside the 4 person tent. Our 4 person tent delivered again. It was built to protect us from the rain as well as from the cold. The 4 person tent truly have made our adventure extra special. I’m sure my 4 person tent will still serve me well in the next years to come.
